New York City: East Village / Lower East Side Night Life
TBT to my NYU days when I lived in the east village & having $1 beers at the 13th Step was the best way to spend a Tuesday night...
jk… I did that like, once. Here's a list of wayyy better ways to spend your time in the EV and LES.
Yuca Bar
Reggaeton, Reggaeton, Reggaeton. It is mind boggling to me that there are no other bars who consistently okay Maluma, Ozuna, and J Balvin - so Yuca it is! It’s small, there is usually a line after 12, and the Mojitos are STRONG, but it’s a guaranteed good time. Also, the food is great!
Death & Co.
They don’t take reservations, so there may be a wait for this EV *Speakeasy* but the cocktails are truly worth the wait. Pro tip: Put your name on the list and go to a bar around the corner while you wait, they’ll send you a text when a spot opens up.
