I always make this joke about how you know which products I ACTUALLY like by if I choose to pack them in my suitcase when I’m traveling. For someone who does not know what it means to “travel light”, I take the amount of space and weight of things I am packing into careful consideration before they make the cut. I can honestly say that these Alterna products WILL be making the cut this summer when I head to Greece for two weeks but I have spent too many years neglecting my hair during the summer, stripping it of all its moisture by showering everyday, and underestimating the effects of the sun and salt on my hair.
I wish I would’ve realized this earlier… ahem… like when my hair was touching my belt loops, but better late than never, and now that my hair is much much shorter, I have a clean slate to work with. Although I haven’t decided if I am going to keep growing my hair out, or give it another chop, one thing I do know is that I don’t shower without using leave in conditioner, and I don’t go anywhere near heal / styling tools without a heat protector. A word of advice… you probably shouldn’t either!
